Combilift Marks 100,000th Forklift Milestone with €100,000 UNICEF Donation

Combilift has celebrated the production of its 100,000th forklift by turning the landmark machine into a global fundraising initiative for children in need.
To mark the achievement, the Monaghan-based materials handling manufacturer launched an international competition for a one-of-a-kind 100,000th “Golden” Combi-CBE multidirectional forklift. The campaign raised €56,500 through ticket sales, with Combilift increasing the final donation to €100,000 for UNICEF Ireland’s Children’s Emergency Fund.
The initiative reflected more than a manufacturing milestone. It also highlighted Combilift’s commitment to using its global platform to support meaningful causes. The funds will help UNICEF respond to children affected by conflict, natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies, including the provision of shelter, warm clothing and access to education.
Combilift CEO and Co-Founder Martin McVicar presented the donation to UNICEF Ireland representatives at the company’s headquarters in Monaghan. UNICEF Ireland welcomed the contribution, noting that rapid support is especially important during winter, when vulnerable children face even greater risks.
The winning ticket belonged to Kareen Farrell, who travelled to Monaghan to receive the unique Golden Forklift. She said the competition was originally entered to support UNICEF, making the win an unexpected and memorable bonus.
Before being awarded to its winner, the Golden Forklift was unveiled at the IMHX Exhibition in the UK and later appeared at trade shows across Europe, attracting attention from customers and industry visitors.
The campaign brought together Combilift’s manufacturing success, international customer base and community-focused values, turning a major company milestone into a donation with global impact.
